About Us

NetMidas is a technology staffing company based in Cali, Colombia, since 2007. We have worked with many clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups, banks, and agencies. We specialize in building high-impact, AI-native product teams for companies that expect speed, technical depth, and real execution. We are looking for a Principal AI Product Builder to work directly with one of our international clients.

About our Client

Our clients are typically U.S.-based technology companies, startups, and scaleups operating in fast-moving, high-complexity environments. They build data-intensive, automation-heavy products across domains such as SaaS, finance, marketplaces, logistics, and internal enterprise tooling. These companies are actively transitioning toward AI-native operating models, where automation, agent-based systems, and intelligent workflows are core to the product, not add-ons.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Principal AI Product Builder who can own products end-to-end: from ambiguous business problems to shipped, working systems. This role goes far beyond traditional roadmap management. You will design AI-native workflows, architect automated systems, and build functional prototypes-often without relying on large engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking with technical depth, execution speed, and the ability to translate messy real-world processes into structured, automatable systems. This role is best suited for builders who thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and care deeply about reducing operational complexity through intelligent design.

Why Work with NetMidas

NetMidas offers AI-first builders an environment where speed, creativity, and technical range are not constrained by rigid corporate structures. We place talent directly inside high-impact companies where they can shape architecture, workflows, and strategy from day one.

Our clients expect rapid, intelligent delivery-meaning you’ll build real systems, not sit in endless meetings. We specialize in AI-native product development, so you’ll work in an ecosystem that values experimentation, end-to-end ownership, multidisciplinary skill sets, and high-velocity execution.

NetMidas is the right environment for product operators who want autonomy, challenge, and the ability to ship things that actually matter.

Required Skills

Must Have:

  • Strong ability to communicate in English (Professional proficiency).
  • Previous experience working with international clients.
  • Proven end-to-end product delivery across multiple domains (strategy, architecture, prototype, shipped solution).
  • Demonstrated ability to build working software or functional prototypes without full engineering teams.
  • Experience designing AI-native workflows, including agent orchestration, automation pipelines, and reasoning systems.
  • Strong grounding in computer science fundamentals, product management, and UX/design thinking.
  • Fluency with modern AI development tools (prompt engineering, agent frameworks, structured output generation, automation platforms).
  • Ability to translate business processes into automated or semi-autonomous systems.
  • Experience integrating multiple platforms (APIs, cloud services, data systems, internal tools).
  • High-speed execution mindset: capable of producing product-quality artifacts in days, not months.
  • Strong analytical framing skills, able to turn ambiguous problems into clear system architectures.

Soft Skills:

  • Thrives in ambiguity and can create clarity without waiting for perfect inputs.
  • Thinks in systems, not features; naturally breaks problems into workflows and architectures.
  • Executes quickly and decisively, favoring iteration over prolonged analysis.
  • Comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end, not just managing backlogs or roadmaps.
  • Communicates complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Product-driven but technically grounded; can reason about tradeoffs without delegating thinking.
  • Curious by default, continuously experimenting with new AI tools and approaches.
  • Pragmatic mindset: optimizes for impact, not theoretical perfection.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and saying “no” when something doesn’t serve the system.
  • Self-directed and accountable; does not require constant alignment or supervision.

Nice to have:

  • Experience across multiple verticals (finance, SaaS, marketplaces, logistics, e-commerce).
  • Background building dashboards, analytics pipelines, or internal decision systems.
  • Experience with workflow automation or RPA-style tools.
  • Exposure to simulation models or digital twins.
  • Product growth or experimentation experience (A/B testing, KPI-driven iteration).
  • Team leadership or mentorship experience.
  • Exposure to compliance-heavy environments (finance, health, legal).
  • Consulting-style experience working directly with stakeholders or clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of AI-native products and tools from concept to delivery.
  • Architect agent-based, automated, or AI-augmented workflows that materially improve business operations.
  • Convert ambiguous process problems into structured, automatable systems.
  • Build functional prototypes, internal tools, and MVPs at high velocity.
  • Integrate external data sources, APIs, and internal systems into unified workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define problems, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Validate solutions through rapid iteration rather than prolonged discovery phases.
  • Maintain high technical rigor while operating at speed.
  • Document architectures, prompts, workflows, and decision logic in a clear, reusable way.
  • Help guide organizations toward AI-native operating models.

Compensation, Contract, Terms

  • Compensation: TBD USD per hour (depending on experience), paid monthly.
  • Contract: Freelance, with our company in the US (may be extended depending on project needs).
  • Full-time position: (8 hours/day).
  • Location: Remote
  • Time zone: U.S. business hours (preferred) - 40-hour workweek (no overtime expected).
  • Start date: ASAP
