Senior Frontend Developer (Javascript)

Bilingual, 3+ years experience, Remote

NetMidas is a software development company based in Cali since 2007. We have produced websites and web applications for a broad range of clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups and international NGOs, as well as our own products. Now we are looking for an ambitious Javascript developer to work directly with an exciting US client.

Requirements

‘Must Haves’:

• Good enough level of English to sustain conversations with client team.
• Development experience within Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Expertise with vanilla Javascript and jQuery.
• Exposure to Bootstrap (or Material Design for Bootstrap).
• Exposure to WordPress.
• An emphasis on mobile-first, responsive design with digital accessibility as a high priority.
• A consultant’s mindset. Assume nothing you find has to be the way it is. Ability to keep eyes open for better/easier/simpler/cheaper ways of doing things, recommend them, and oversee improvements.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
• Understand that some projects demand enterprise/hardened development, others a looser get-it-done approach, and others a mix — and know when each is appropriate.
• Previous experience as a remote team member.
• Fun, easy going, and service-centered heart.

‘Nice-to-haves’:

• Experience working both on client projects as a consultant as well as direct product development.
• Basic exposure to full-stack ecosystems. Bonus points if you’ve ever worked with Django/Python, but not required.
• Exposure to Stripe and/or Square.

Compensation, Contract, Terms

• USD 232 per day, depending on experience, paid monthly
• Contract: freelance (prestación de servicios) with our company in US.
• This is a remote position and you will work in the Colombia time zone
• Complementary health plan
