Now we are looking for a seasoned Product Owner/Manager to work directly with an exciting international client, a pioneer in the world of AI with founders from Google, Square, Opensea, and other well-known Silicon Valley companies.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and demonstrated team player. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the client product's future. Your primary focus (70%) will be on the responsibilities of a Product Owner, guiding one or more cross-functional product development teams, while also engaging in broader product management activities (30%). You will collaborate closely with their existing Scrum Master and Tech Lead to ensure their product aligns with their vision and market needs.

Requirements

Must Haves

• Ability to communicate in English (Professional English proficiency).
• 5+ years of product management experience
• Have experience with the ambiguity associated with 0 to 1 projects
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and dedication
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as functional/technical deep dives
• Have deep user empathy and can understand complex product spaces
• Proven experience translating customer problems into a well-defined roadmap and use cases that can be consumed and executed by design and engineering teams 
• Can take customer learnings and turn them into a cohesive product vision and drive internal alignment
• Demonstrates the ability to drive cross-functional OKRs and prioritize based on a blend of quantitative findings and qualitative research
• Can think about systems-oriented solutions to complex authoring problems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn and grow
• Familiarity with a full Agile methodology or Scrum software development methodologies
• Leadership through influence rather than organization structures. Proven ability to motivate, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional product teams and manage interactions across engineering, design, marketing, and operations
• Storyteller who enjoys sharing product knowledge and customer stories as a way of influencing others 
• Enjoys meeting with customers, building external relationships, and evangelizing their products 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and ramp up quickly with minimal guidance
• An affinity for the fast-paced, changing environment of a start-up, a sense of humor, and a get-it-done personality
• Disposition to work collaboratively with a distributed team across LATAM and the US
• Availability to work during a time that coincides with PDT for at least 4 to 5 hours

Key Responsibilities

Product Owner (70%)

• Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with our overall product strategy and vision.
• Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, QA) and stakeholders to refine and prioritize user stories and requirements.
• Collaboratively plan and execute sprints with the development team and Scrum Master, focusing on high-value features and improvements.
• Review and accept completed work, verifying its alignment with the set acceptance criteria and overall product vision.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding progress, changes, and priorities.
• Continuously integrate feedback from users, stakeholders, and market analysis into the product backlog and roadmap.
• Support the team in adhering to Agile Scrum practices, fostering a collaborative, transparent, and adaptable development environment.

Product Management (30%)

• Assist in developing and executing product strategies and plans.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends.
• Work with the marketing and sales teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, suggesting improvements or pivots as necessary

Compensation, Contract, Terms

• USD 32-35 per hour, paid monthly.
• Contract: Long-term contract with no end date. Freelance (prestación de servicios) with Netmidas.
• Location: Remote (Los Angeles, CA)
• Full-time.
• Start date: Jan 2024.
