John Oliver Coffey

I’m originally from Ireland and have lived and worked in London and New York. I’m now based in Cali, Colombia, where I lead NetMidas as Founder & CEO. I’ve been working in tech since 1998 across investment banking, startups, public policy, digital transformation, and international team building.

My focus today is helping U.S. and global companies build high-performing nearshore technology teams in Latin America, combining strong technical talent, cultural alignment, and scalable operating models. I’m especially interested in AI-first product teams, remote workforce strategy, and long-term value creation through people and systems.

Outside of work, I’m a father and husband, a gardener, diver, and hiker, and a former martial artist. I’m also the co-founder of a social impact nonprofit in Cali, focused on improving quality of life through initiatives like open data projects and city-wide air quality monitoring.

I’m driven by curiosity and by working with thoughtful people on meaningful, challenging problems.
